1. Guarantees & Warranties

• PVCu Frames: Guaranteed against welded joint failure and distortion for 10 years from the commencement date, in line with system supplier recommendations.
• Glass Sealed Units: Guaranteed for 5 years against the failure of hermetical seals (e.g., misting between panes).
• Moving Parts: Locking mechanisms, hinges, and metallic moving parts are guaranteed for 1 year, subject to regular maintenance. Cosmetic deterioration (handles, letter plates) due to wear and tear is not covered.
• Building Work: All building work is guaranteed for 12 months in respect of workmanship.
• Commercial/Trade: These contracts carry a standard 12-month guarantee.

Exclusions: We cannot accept responsibility for glass breakages after installation. No guarantee is given that double glazing will eliminate existing condensation, except where found between sealed panes. Minor imperfections in glass or PVCu are subject to supplier recommendations. Stained glass and leadwork are not guaranteed against fading or discolouration.

2. Installation & Site Preparation

Work will commence as soon as possible. While time is not the essence of this contract, we accept no liability for delays due to circumstances beyond our control.

• Structural Integrity: If brickwork, plaster, or rendering collapses during the removal of old frames (which cannot always be determined by survey), the purchaser will be responsible for the net cost of labour and materials for repairs.
• Customer Responsibilities: Removal and replacement of curtains, blinds, pelmets, cables (telephone/electric), alarms, and doorbells are the customer's responsibility.
• Making Good: We will repair damage to plaster or brickwork immediately surrounding the installation. Specialist finishes (e.g., Tyrolean or pebble dash) are not included.
• Access: Customers must provide reasonable access for installation. The customer is also responsible for ensuring the installation complies with local regulations and obtaining necessary permits.

Waste materials will be removed by the company upon completion.

3. Product Specifications

• Roofing Sheets: Conservatory roofing is not guaranteed against abnormal climate changes, insect penetration, or mould growth within the chambers. External trimmings are covered for 12 months.
• Colour Matching: We provide the closest colour match available. A perfect match is not always possible.
• Door Panels: Guaranteed for 12 months against warping and twisting.
• Enhancements: We reserve the right to change product specifications without notice for the purpose of product enhancement. We will never install products of inferior quality to those shown at the time of sale.

4. Payment & Ownership

Payment of the due balance must be made to our installer immediately upon completion of the contract. All cheques should be made payable to "Peak Windows".

• Minor defects requiring rectification under guarantee are not a valid reason for non-payment of the balance.
• We reserve title on all goods until payment has been met in full.
• Any costs incurred in the collection of debt will be charged to the customer.

5. Cancellations & Legal

Customer Right to Cancel: You have the right to cancel this contract within 7 days of making the agreement by sending written notice to our head office.

Company Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel the contract if, after a surveyor's report, we determine the installation cannot be satisfactorily carried out.

Validity: If a product is misused, tampered with, or damaged, the guarantee will be deemed null and void. Remedial work will then be subject to a prearranged fee.

This contract does not affect your statutory rights.
